Hello! I am Stacy, and this is going to be a blog of my pseudo-life in Animal Crossing: City Folk!
I got started today. I was a little nervous to be completely honest, as I had a lot of disappointment with my previous “life”. Not that it was horrible, but my decision to move from such a great life and town that I had first moved into 6 years ago was kind of.. regretful. Sure, Chesapa didn’t have the dressing regulations that my first home, Onett did, and it was nice to be able to wear a shirt and a hat that didn’t have to match (even though I did feel nostalgic from time to time and did that anyway), but all things considered, my life was so much better back in Onett. I regret every minute being involved in that tragic “mishap” that caused time to bend around it sel-…Ah, I really shouldn’t talk about that, it’s too hurtful of a memory. Long story short, I made some mistakes, and no one wanted me there anymore. But I moved right out of Chesapa eventually as well, there was no future for me there. No future for anyone, that lifeless place. I cut my hair, changed my clothes, and hopped on a bus to a brand new place.
Appleton!
On the bus, I met a great old friend I used to take train rides with back in the day; Rover! He definitely didn’t recognize me, since it’d been years since we last spoke and I looked totally different.. But it was good to see him again. We talked about some stuff, about my plans, and then the bus landed in Appleton. It wasn’t really a long ride at all. I got my stuff, said goodbye to Rover, and headed out.

Goodness. What a town. It seems like there’s a pretty tight-knit neighborhood area in this town already with some houses for sale, but I’ve always preferred the more rural setting, so I chose the one house far away from most of everyone, with the exception of two people. I was pleased, it was right on the beach, and I had plenty of room to start some gardening!
I started my work for Nook. He must either have a lot of cousins of the same name, or this guy’s following me! Ah well, his familiar face still didn’t lessen the intensity of his forced labor. You think I would’ve learned by now to bring a lot more money with me on my way to a new town, but nope. Ah well, it wasn’t too bad of a chore, and before I knew it, I was done!
A friend of mine, tfn, challenged me to a gardening competition! I always wanted to break into gardening, but I never had the motivation. I think this will be my motivation! B)

I had heard a few ramblings about some “city” from some neighbors of mine. I was really intrigued as I had never been to a city before! Up until this point, I’ve picked some pretty “middle-of-nowhere” places to live. I found out you could take the bus there, so I went to the stop, and sooner than later, Kapp’n returned with his bus and whisked me away.
The city was quite exciting, but I only had time to check out one place, and that was Shampoodle. It looks like Harriet hated Chesapa as well, because she was now here. I think she belongs in this kind of atmosphere, though. She offered to give me a complete makeover, and I had no idea what that meant. Honestly, it sounded kind of… feminine? But regardless, it was free! So it wasn’t long before I did that, and left with a look I was proud of.
I went to take a nap for a long long while. I hadn’t slept all day, and I guess I’m just overwhelmed by all that’d been going on.
I woke up sometime during the night. I didn’t mean to sleep so long, but I jumped right out of bed and outside, and decided to try some late-night fishing.
I didn’t have super luck, but it wasn’t so bad. However, what really stood out was…

GAH!
I took out my net right away and swung madly at it! However, it was all to no avail.. it was too high up, and soon it was clear out of sight. How the heck was I supposed to get that thing? If only I had something to shoot at that balloon maybe, that’d work for sure!
Ah well. After that, I was a little steamed at such a missed opportunity. I decided to call it a night, even though I had just slept. Tomorrow is when the real fun begins.
